DR. DANIELLE GOODMAN

“I strive to create positive experiences for our young patients and their families so that they can be empowered to maintain good oral health and a confident smile into adulthood.”

Dr. Goodman graduated top of her class from USC's School of Dentistry where she earned numerous awards for humanitarianism, ethics, and academic achievement. She continued at USC for her advanced training in pediatric dentistry and completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). She has also served as an adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at USC and is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry (CSPD), and the California Dental Association.
FUN FACTS: Dr. Goodman was born and raised in Orange County and knew she wanted to be a pediatric dentist at 14 years old! Outside of pediatric dentistry, she loves golfing, yoga, tennis, and is starting to learn pickleball as well! Dr. Goodman lives in Irvine with her husband, son, and their dog, Matcha.

DR. NEIL FRANKLIN       Pediatric Dentist

"I aspire to build trust with every child I treat creating positive experiences, so that visiting the dentist can be done with confidence and ease."

Dr. Franklin earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA, where he also completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After dental school, Dr. Franklin further advanced his expertise by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Santa Barbara through the New York University Langone Health System. His passion for pediatric dentistry then led him to UC San Francisco, where he completed his pediatric residency. Since then, Dr. Franklin has worked in private practice, as well at the Children’s Hospital in Oakland, where he provided comprehensive dental care to a diverse pediatric population with an emphasis on special needs and medically complex patients.
FUN FACTS: In his free time, Dr. Franklin maintains an active lifestyle surfing, golfing, playing pickleball, and practicing yoga. He also values time with his family, frequently traveling to Tucson, AZ, to visit his parents, brother, grandmother, and beloved dog, Tommy. He is thrilled to be living now in Orange County and is especially enjoying the warmer weather!

DR. HEIDI KIM         Pediatric Dentist

"My passion lies in making children proud of their smiles and cultivating habits to maintain those smiles for a lifetime. It is a privilege to contribute to the health of my patients and the community."

Dr. Heidi grew up on the East Coast but happily calls Orange County her home. After receiving her bachelor's degree at the George Washington University and her master's degree from the Johns Hopkins University, she went on to pursue her Dental Degree at UC San Francisco. After dental school, Dr. Heidi completed a general practice residency at UCLA for advanced training in hospital dentistry to serve patients with medically complex conditions and special needs. Through these experiences, she confirmed her decision to commit her career to caring for children, which led her to return to UCSF to specialize in pediatric dentistry.  
FUN FACTS: Dr. Heidi and her husband just welcomed a new baby girl! She is also fluent in Mandarin. 

DR. LANI CHANG       Pediatric Dentist

"I always strive to be a kind and patient dentist. I also want to equip our patients and families with the knowledge and skills to maintain good oral health for their lifetime."

Dr. Lani is a 2003 graduate of the prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at USC and is a Board Certified Diplomate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentists and the USC Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association.
FUN FACTS: Dr. Lani is an Irvine native and attended Woodbridge High School as well as UCI. Dr. Lani enjoys reading, traveling with her husband and two kids and trying out new gourmet restaurants. She also loves exploring the great outdoors and is always up for a good hike or beach day!

DR. CLARA LEE       Pediatric Dentist

"My goal is for each of our young patients to grow up to be adults who continue to seek regular dental care without fear or apprehension."

Dr. Lee graduated from UCLA's School of Dentistry where she received multiple Honors and was the recipient of an International Award, Health Careers Scholarship throughout her dental education. She continued on at UCLA to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry, where at the time, only 4 residents per year were accepted throughout the nation. She was also awarded for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry, by the American Society of Dentistry for Children. 
FUN FACTS: Dr. Lee loves learning new things, especially anything in the arts. She has a B.A. in dance from UCI. She also loves photography and once took a 2 week road trip solo across the country, taking beautiful pictures of national parks. Dr. Lee and her husband love music, they met playing in a band where she was the drummer, and he sang and played the guitar. Today their favorite pastime is traveling with their teenage son and daughter.

DR. PARISA KERMANSHAHI         Pediatric Dentist

“Being a mom, I understand the struggles parents have in trying to do what is best for their child. I love being a resource to helping parents make informed decisions for their children.”

Dr. Parisa originally practiced as a general dentist. Though she worked with both adults and children, Dr. Parisa found much fulfillment in working with children, particularly those with physical and mental challenges. As a result, Dr. Parisa went back to school to pursue a career in Pediatric Dentistry. She received her Specialty Pediatrics Certificate and Masters Degree in Dentistry at Loma Linda. Dr. Parisa is a Board Certified Diplomate. 
FUN FACTS: Dr. Parisa is a thrill seeker and loves sky diving, scuba diving, and roller coasters. She's an avid Laker's fan and her favorite guilty pleasure is Cheetos. Dr. Parisa's husband, Dr. Reza Izadi, is a local Endodontist, together they reside with their 2 very active boys in Newport Coast. 

DR. SONA BEKMEZIAN         Orthodontist

"I loved going to the dentist as a child, my teenage orthodontic experience was what made me want to become an orthodontist."

Dr. Sona is a Board Certified Orthodontist and a Director on the Board of the California Association of Orthodontics. She graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and completed her dental training and orthodontic residency at UCSF, where she was the recipient of the UC Regents Scholar Award. She practiced orthodontics for many years in the Bay Area, served as clinical instructor at Children's Hospital Oakland, and also started two orthodontic clinics across the Bay Area to provide orthodontic treatment to those in greatest need. 
FUN FACTS: Dr. Sona picked up beekeeping as a hobby during the pandemic. She sincerely loves eating vegetables (no joke) and she also enjoys making gluten-free baked goods.

DR. CYNTHIA HUANG       Orthodontist

"I am passionate about creating beautiful smiles and the positive changes that they bring."

Dr. Cynthia Huang spent her childhood in Malaysia but then moved to the United Kingdom where she completed high school and college. Upon graduating from Queen's University Dental School with distinctions, she pursued her orthodontic specialty training at Northwestern University, Chicago. After finishing her residency in 1999, she joined the faculty at Northwestern University Dental School as a Clinical Assistant Professor, teaching the fundamentals of clinical orthodontics to the dental students, and treating patients with the Cleft Palate Team at Northwestern University. 
FUN FACTS: Dr. Huang was born with perfect pitch! She loves learning new things on YouTube and watching true crime documentaries. Her favorite food is anything with noodles. She resides in Irvine with her husband and their two high schoolers.

DR. ANNA CHAND       Pediatric Dentist

"I believe that childhood experiences are carried with a person into adulthood. That is why we strive to make each dental visit a positive and pleasant one."

Dr. Chand graduated as a Dean's scholar from UCLA's School of Dentistry and is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She worked at Irvine Children's Dentistry for 17 years, but recently, she found a new calling to give back to the community. Dr. Chand now works full time as an Assistant Professor at Western University's College of Dental Medicine, where she trains future dentists and helps treat families in need. We are thankful to have her still remain with our practice once a month, treating our sedation cases. 
FUN FACTS: Dr. Chand grew up in New York and moved to Irvine at the age of 15 where she attended University High School and UCI. She enjoys growing succulents, traveling, making furniture, and finding good deals. She resides in Lake Forest with her husband Steve, an Optometrist, and their son and daughter.
